Seminar at school speaker ” Mrs Nina Prentice” the wife of English Ambassador in Italy

There was an important event on 26th November 2013 2The importance of reading in the 21st Century” with Teacher Trainer Nina Prentice. Some students were invited to partecipate and it was very emotioned to meet so important woman. Our teacher told us the important her work in the Italian State schools for improving the learning of English language. Mrs Nina Prentice has underlined the importance of reading as a valid instrument to learn a foreign language. She spoke the techincs of reading to facilitate the memory of the key words in the text. The reader must choice which book to read to have great benefits .The extensive reading is reading for pleasure and can develop some prediction acivities as ” What do you think the next chapter will be about? Mrs Prentice stayed with us and our teachers for three hours and she is very friendly and acts during  her lesson. The seminar wasn’ t boring because she spoke  easy english and fun. We have understood that reading must be a pleasure and nustn’t be obligation.
