Brook Drumm designed a desktop 3 D printer to turn designs created on a computer into real objects. Mr Drumm has a goal tha a printer in every home and every school.The technology for 3-D printers has existed for years. In 3-D printers there is a gap between its potential and current reality. The 15,000 who have bought a printer are design professionals and the things being printed still tend to be toys, key chains or just colorful plastic in amusing shapes.Max Lobovsky one of the creators of the Form 1, a desktop 3-D printer said that the machines need to be easier to use , more capable and offer more applications in the home. He sees 3-D printing technology working its way down from corporation to engineers, architects and crafters.
